Our Role

Caravanvio is a listing and enquiry platform. We connect caravan owners with holidaymakers — we are not a party to any rental agreement between them.

What we do

We provide the Platform that allows Owners to advertise their caravans and Holidaymakers to discover and enquire about them. We review listings before they go live, facilitate the initial enquiry message, and provide the tools for Owners to manage their availability and pricing.

What we don't do

We do not take bookings, process rental payments, or act as an agent for either party. All rental agreements, payment terms, deposits, and cancellation policies are agreed directly between the Owner and the Holidaymaker. We are not responsible for the condition of any caravan, the conduct of any Owner or Holidaymaker, or any aspect of the rental arrangement itself.

Listing accuracy

We make every effort to ensure listings are accurate and complete before approving them. However, listing content — including photos, descriptions, pricing, and availability — is provided by Owners. We are not responsible for inaccuracies in Owner-supplied content, though we will act promptly if errors are brought to our attention.

Services and facilities

Occasionally, services, facilities, or amenities described in a listing may become unavailable due to circumstances outside our or the Owner's control. We do not accept responsibility for such changes. If you have paid an Owner directly for a specific service that is not provided, please raise this with the Owner in the first instance.

Wi-Fi and phone reception

Owners cannot guarantee broadband speeds or mobile reception at their caravan. Internet and phone coverage in rural and coastal areas can sometimes be limited. If Wi-Fi is listed as a feature, the Owner is responsible for ensuring it is set up — but speeds and reliability are not guaranteed.

Making a Booking Enquiry

Caravanvio allows Holidaymakers to send booking enquiries directly to caravan owners. Here's how it works and what you need to know.

Eligibility

To send a booking enquiry, you must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. By submitting an enquiry, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you intend to make a genuine booking.

No booking fee

Caravanvio charges zero booking fees to Holidaymakers. Sending an enquiry is completely free. There are no platform charges, service fees, or commissions added to your holiday cost.

Direct with the owner

Once you send an enquiry, the Owner will respond directly to you. All booking confirmation, payment terms, deposit arrangements, and arrival details are agreed between you and the Owner. Caravanvio is not involved in this process.

Owner response times

Most owners respond within 24 hours. If you haven't heard back after 48 hours, we'd suggest sending a follow-up or browsing similar caravans in the same area. You can also contact us and we'll do our best to help.

Minimum stay

Some caravans have a minimum stay requirement, which will be clearly shown on the listing. Please check this before sending an enquiry.

Holidaymaker Responsibilities

When you book and stay at a caravan through Caravanvio, you take on certain responsibilities — both to us and to the Owner. These are important, so please read them carefully.

Accurate information

You must ensure all information you provide — including your name, contact details, number of guests, and any special requirements — is accurate and complete.

Guest numbers

The number of people and pets staying at the caravan must not exceed the number stated in your confirmed booking. You must not invite additional visitors or hold events at the property without the Owner's prior written consent.

Respect and conduct

You and your guests must treat the caravan, its contents, and the surrounding park with care and respect. Illegal, dangerous, offensive, or anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in you being asked to leave.

Condition of the caravan

You must leave the caravan in the same state of cleanliness and order in which you found it. The Owner may charge a reasonable professional cleaning fee if this is not the case.

Damage and breakages

You must report any damage or breakages to the Owner as soon as possible during your stay. You agree to reimburse the Owner for the reasonable cost of repair or replacement.

Arrival and departure

You must arrive no earlier and depart no later than the times agreed with the Owner. Keys and access cards must be returned as instructed.

House rules and park rules

You must comply with the Owner's house rules and the caravan park's own rules and regulations throughout your stay.

Pets

Pets are only permitted where the listing expressly states they are allowed. If you bring a pet to a caravan that does not allow them, the Owner has the right to refuse entry or ask you to leave. You are responsible for any damage caused by your pets and must remove all traces of pet occupation before departure.

Travel documents

You are responsible for ensuring you and your guests have any required identification or travel documents for the duration of your stay.

Legal compliance

You must ensure that you and your guests comply with all applicable laws throughout your stay.

If you or any of your guests fail to comply with these responsibilities, the Owner has the right to refuse entry or require you to leave before the end of your Holiday Period. In these circumstances, no refund will be due and Caravanvio accepts no responsibility for any resulting costs.

Terms for Caravan Owners

Listing Requirements

All listings must be accurate, up to date, and not misleading. Your listing must relate to a genuine static caravan located at a UK caravan park. You must have the legal right to rent out the caravan and must comply with all applicable park rules, regulations, and legal requirements — including fire safety, gas and electrical safety, and any relevant licensing obligations.

Owner Responsibilities

As an Owner, you agree to:

  • Respond to booking enquiries promptly and honestly
  • Ensure the caravan is clean, well-maintained, and in good repair at the start of every Holiday Period
  • Provide accurate availability and pricing information on your listing
  • Notify Holidaymakers of any changes to the listing that may affect their stay
  • Arrange key collection and provide clear arrival instructions
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those relating to fire safety, gas, electrical safety, and data protection
  • Maintain appropriate insurance for the caravan and your liability as a landlord
  • Handle complaints from Holidaymakers promptly and in good faith

Subscription & Payments

Owners pay an annual subscription fee of £50 to list their caravan. This fee is non-refundable once a listing has been approved and made live. Listings will be deactivated upon subscription expiry unless renewed. Caravanvio does not take commission on bookings — all rental income goes directly to you.

Booking Enquiries & Rental Agreements

Caravanvio facilitates the initial enquiry between you and a Holidaymaker. Once you confirm a booking, the rental agreement is directly between you and the Holidaymaker. You are responsible for setting and communicating your own payment terms, deposit requirements, and cancellation policy. Caravanvio is not a party to any rental agreement and accepts no liability for disputes arising from them.

Prohibited Content

Listings must not contain false, misleading, or fraudulent information; offensive or inappropriate content; content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights; or links to external booking platforms intended to circumvent the Caravanvio platform.

Cancellations & Changes

Because all bookings are made directly between Owners and Holidaymakers, cancellation and amendment terms are set by the individual Owner — not by Caravanvio. Always confirm these terms with the Owner before finalising your booking.

Cancellation by the Holidaymaker

If you need to cancel a confirmed booking, you must contact the Owner directly. Any refund will be subject to the Owner's own cancellation policy, which you should agree before confirming your booking. Caravanvio is not responsible for processing refunds between Owners and Holidaymakers.

Cancellation by the Owner

If an Owner needs to cancel a confirmed booking, they must notify the Holidaymaker as soon as possible and arrange a full refund of any payments already made. Owners who repeatedly cancel confirmed bookings may have their listings suspended or removed from the Platform.

Amendments

Any changes to a confirmed booking — such as a change of dates or guest numbers — must be agreed directly between you and the Owner. Caravanvio is not involved in the amendment process.

Events outside anyone's control

If a booking cannot proceed due to circumstances beyond the reasonable control of either party — such as severe weather, a government restriction, or a natural disaster — the Owner and Holidaymaker should work together in good faith to agree a resolution, which may include a refund, a credit, or a rebooking. Caravanvio will assist where we can but is not liable for losses arising from such events.

Payments & Refunds

Subscription Payments

Owner subscription fees are processed securely via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise Caravanvio to charge the applicable fee to your chosen payment method. All fees are stated inclusive of VAT where applicable.

Subscription Refund Policy

Subscription fees are non-refundable once a listing has been approved and published. If your listing is rejected by our moderation team, a full refund will be issued. Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of payment.

Holiday Rental Payments

Caravanvio does not process payments between Owners and Holidaymakers. All rental fees, deposits, and cancellation policies are agreed directly between the Owner and Holidaymaker. Caravanvio accepts no liability for any payment disputes arising from rental arrangements.

No Booking Fees for Holidaymakers

Caravanvio charges zero booking fees to Holidaymakers. There are no platform charges, service fees, or commissions added to your holiday cost. What you agree with the Owner is what you pay.

Insurance

We strongly recommend that all Holidaymakers take out appropriate travel insurance before confirming a booking.

Your insurance should ideally cover the full cost of your booking in case you need to cancel, as well as any medical expenses, personal liability, and loss or damage to personal belongings during your stay.

Personal belongings and vehicles (including their contents) are left at the caravan entirely at your own risk. Neither Caravanvio nor the Owner accepts liability for loss, damage, or injury to you or your guests during the Holiday Period, except where caused by the Owner's negligence.

Owners are responsible for maintaining appropriate insurance for their caravan and their liability as a landlord. This should be in place before any Holidaymaker stays at the property.

Complaints

We want every Caravanvio holiday to be a great one. If something goes wrong, here's how to handle it.

During your stay

If you have a problem during your Holiday Period, contact the Owner (or their representative) as soon as possible. Because your rental agreement is directly with the Owner, they are best placed to resolve issues quickly. Raising problems during your stay — rather than after — gives the best chance of a resolution.

After your stay

If you're unhappy with how the Owner handled your complaint, or if the issue wasn't resolved during your stay, please contact us within 7 days of the end of your Holiday Period. Include full details of your complaint and any evidence (such as photographs). We'll do our best to help facilitate a resolution, though as we are not a party to the rental agreement, we cannot accept legal responsibility for the outcome.

Complaints about the Platform

If your complaint relates to the Caravanvio Platform itself — such as a technical issue or a concern about how we've handled something — please contact us directly and we'll deal with it promptly.

Nothing in this section affects your legal rights or any right you may have to bring legal proceedings against an Owner under your rental agreement.

Intellectual Property

The Platform and its original content (excluding user-submitted content), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Caravanvio. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.

By submitting content to the Platform (including photos, descriptions, and reviews), you grant Caravanvio a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and reproduce that content solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform. You retain ownership of your content and may request its removal by deleting your listing or contacting us.

You warrant that any content you submit does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party and that you have the right to grant the above licence.

Limitation of Liability

Caravanvio is a listing and enquiry platform. We are not a party to any rental agreement between Owners and Holidaymakers and accept no liability for the conduct of either party.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Caravanvio shall not be liable for:

  • Any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform
  • The accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any listing content
  • Any disputes, losses, or damages arising from rental arrangements between Owners and Holidaymakers
  • Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Loss of data, revenue, profits, or business opportunities
  • Any third-party content, services, or websites linked from the Platform
  • The condition, safety, or suitability of any caravan listed on the Platform
  • Any loss or damage to personal belongings or vehicles left at a caravan during a Holiday Period

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. You also have certain legal rights as a consumer under UK law, and nothing in these Terms affects those rights. For advice, visit Citizens Advice or call 03454 04 05 06.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms, provide false information, or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or harmful behaviour.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will immediately cease. Active listings will be deactivated and will no longer be visible to Holidaymakers.

Provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, you may bring proceedings in either the Scottish or English courts. If you live in Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in either the Northern Irish or English courts.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 14 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect by updating the "Last Updated" date on this page and, where appropriate, notifying you by email. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Service after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms. Changes will not affect any rental agreements already confirmed between Owners and Holidaymakers before the revised Terms come into effect.
