Winterising your caravan - complete checklist

Sharing my winterising checklist that I've refined over the years. Hope it helps someone! 1. Drain down all water systems - pipes, boiler, toilet cistern 2. Leave all taps open in the mid-position 3. Remove all soft furnishings if possible (or bag them up) 4. Clean the fridge/freezer and leave doors wedged open 5. Check all window and door seals 6. Give it a thorough clean - you'll thank yourself in spring 7. Take photos of everything for insurance 8. Turn off gas at the bottle/cylinder 9. Consider a dehumidifier or moisture traps 10. Visit at least once a month to air it out and check for issues

Great list. I'd add - disconnect the battery if you have one for the alarm system, or at least give it a trickle charge once a month. Flat batteries are a nightmare to deal with when you first arrive in spring and the alarm won't stop going off.
