Best tow car for around 1500kg - recommendations?

I'm in the market for a new tow car and my caravan is around 1500kg fully loaded. I know the 85% rule and I'm sticking to it. Currently looking at used options around £15k - maybe a Kia Sorento, Hyundai Santa Fe or a Mitsubishi Outlander. Any owners here with real-world experience of these?

I tow a 1550kg van with a 2018 Sorento and it's been absolutely rock solid. The auto box is smooth, it's comfortable on long runs, and the self-levelling suspension makes a noticeable difference. Fuel economy isn't great (about 28mpg towing) but that's true of anything pulling 1500kg. The Outlander PHEV is interesting if you do lots of short trips, but the petrol engine is a bit weedy for heavy towing. Santa Fe is very similar to the Sorento - same platform essentially - so either of those would be my pick.
